31 Days of Garden Tours - Day 6

Today's tour is the final home on the Secret Garden Tour, but it is jam-packed full of interesting sights to see.  So much, in fact, that I'll be doing two days of posting about it.

When you pull up to this stylish, modern home, you don't have a clue of the secrets the garden holds.  Caladiums line the covered driveway

The other entrance, which leads to the garden, is lined with Confederate jasmine.  The fragrance of these flowers is heavenly.

This little vignette greeted us as we entered the secret garden.

Here are some of the breath-taking flowering plants along the way.

And this fanciful girl encouraged us to keep going.

This backyard and garden are huge, and the trees and foliage are dense.  The home-owner joined us and said he'd been working on the garden for decades.  He told us lots of funny stories about his efforts through the years.  We enjoyed the cool shade as we walked through the forest-like yard.

And then, we heard water falling, and caught a glimpse of the pond.

I'll share more of the garden, and especially the pond, in my post tomorrow.

I'll leave you with this ant, which was lying on the bank of the pond.  I had one just like it years ago when I worked in sales.  I bought it as a daily reminder of Proverbs 6:6
Go to the ant, you lazybones!
Consider its ways, and be wise.

  Blessings to you, Gail-Friends!
I'm linking up to the 31 Day Blog Event.
